Sharing is caring:

Former Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Mr Theophilus Quaye, of the National Democratic Party, has today joined the rest of Ghanaians to mourn the demise of our beloved former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.

He paid tribute to His Excellency the Fomer Vice President of the Republic of Ghana on TV3’S New Day today the 27th of July 2018.

Our gentle former Vice President was sworn into office as Vice President on the 6th of August, 2012 following vetting by Ghana’s parliament. He was nominated by former President John Dramani Mahama to be his vice after the sudden death of late Ex -President John Evans Atta Mills which occurred on the 24th of July 2012.

Ex- Vice President Amissah Arthur died on the 29th of June this year at the 37 military hospital after reportedly collapsing at the air force gym during his routine morning workout session.

Mr. Tetteh Quaye who is also a member of the NDC, paid his tribute to the former leader of his party, telling Ghanaians and reminding members of his party about the life and nature of their father, brother, leader and friend while he was with them.

’ I have known His excellency Paa Kwasi Amissah Arthur the late as a ‘’unifier ‘’, someone whose attachment to the party really encouraged we the youth within the fraternity to inculcate virtues which are needed in our current day politics His excellency was a very humble person despite the success that he has achieved . It is difficult to describe him as somebody who is loud. He wasn’t boastful. He was somebody who was down to earth.’’

Elaborating on his attribute as a unifier in the NDC, the Honourable Former Member of Parliament told the public that the late Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur sacrificed his time for the benefit of the party.

He was someone who was always available to members of the party. He fraternized with the rank and far of the party and he was down to earth. It’s very difficult to approach our leaders but he wasn’t that type.

He went on to say that the former Vice President while he was alive treated everyone in the party as equals.

‘’You know in this part of the world where people become wealthy or popular and being revered in society, sometimes they become pompous. Sometimes they don’t even want to associate themselves with the poor within the society. He was different and that is why the people of Mori up to today do not believe that the man is gone.’’ bid fare thee well to the late Former Ex-President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur Damerifa Due. Rest in Peace Your Excellency Till we meet again, rest in the Bosom of the Almighty.
