The Upper West Deputy Regional Police Commander, Peter Ndekugri, has debunked reports by some media house that, two persons have died as a result of the clashes between two Muslim groups in Nandon.
Speaking to BANBOONLINE NEWS reporter Gabriel Asare Klokpa, ACP. Peter Ndekugri confirmed that, the incident happened on Thursday evening when some youth from one of the groups trooped to avert a marriage ceremony involving their daughter and a member of an opposing faction.
According to ACP Ndekugri, no person died in the process but two people have sustained injuries and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
However, he added that, they have deployed some security details (police) to the community to maintain calm and sanity.
