Waasland Beveren winger Nana Opoku Ampomah says he is poised to earn more goal-scoring accolades in Belgium this season.
The Ghana international winger is having an impressive season in the Belgium First Divison league.Just 9 games into the new season but the 22 year old boasts of 5 goals out of 8 appearances already for Waasland Beveren.
The young winger scored an intelligent goal last weekend in his side’s 3-0 thumping of Royal Excel Mouscon , lofting the ball over the goalkeeper from a few meters away from the center circle to get the 3rd goal.
Waasland are in action this weekend and ahead of Saturday’s clash, the pacy winger believes that with more goals he can help Waasland Beveren achieve their target.
“I am looking forward to scoring more goals to help the team.I am happy when I score and we win.I believe my effort pay off well when we win as a team but when I score and we don’t win, the goals don’t really matter . It is about the team first before any other reward”.He told Ghanacrusader.com
When asked about what he is looking up to as the season grows,the Ghana international revealed how poised he is to reach a particular height with his team[Waasland Beveren].
“I am eager to score more, I believe my goals can help my team at the end of the season.I am working hard to do more for the club”.
Ampomah has been named in the match day squad against KV Oostende in the First Division A and would be looking to increase his tally for the season.
The 22 year old has been called up by Coach Kwesi Appiah for Black Stars double header with Sierra Leone in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.He has made 3 appearances so far for the Black Stars.
