National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer aspirant, Stephen Atubiga has revealed that soothsayers, Imams and pastors are predicting his victory and subsequent swearing in as president of the Republic of Ghana because he has a special assignment to prosecute for the country, MyNewsGh.com has filed.
“Tell my other colleagues to step down for me….it is my time. Soothsayers say is my time, Mallams say it is my time…pastors say it is my time. They should give me the opportunity to rule this country”, he disclosed in an interview MyNewsGh.com.
He promised strategic positions for the other aspirants if they give him the opportunity to become the flagbearer of the party because he has a vision to move the country forward.
“I have a special place for all them. All the aspirants I will pull them along…strategic places for us to move this country forward.
The professional electrician whose nomination forms were picked for him by NDC supporters from Accra onion market had earlier complained about the filing fees saying even the bride price of his wife was not that outrageous.
He observes that the amount which is outrageous is way beyond any pride price yet to be paid the world over describing what is being practiced by the elephant family as ‘moneycracy’ and not a democracy.
“One of my philosophy in a democracy is wanting to lead. Democracy is a sacrificial job or a call to serve voluntary….and when the fees for wanting to participate in any election is higher than the cost of how much you paid or spent in marrying your loved one (wife), it becomes a problematic, “moneyracy” election”, he stated in a Facebook post MyNewsGh.com sighted.
Mr Atubiga who initial bragged he could pay his and that of former President John Dramani Mahama, is now soliciting the support of his well-wishers through a mobile money number in order to meet the total cost of the forms and filing fees.
